About Cheap Jet Charter

We arrange private flights on turboprops and light jets for shorter trips, and we price every trip all-in. Here is how the service works and what you can expect.

What we are

Cheap Jet Charter is an air charter broker. We don’t own aircraft and we don’t fly them. We find the right aircraft for your trip among FAA Part 135 operators, or certificated operators abroad, and arrange the flight with them. The operator holds operational control of the aircraft and is responsible for flying it.

What “cheap” means here

Cheap does not mean cutting corners. It means not paying for more aircraft than the trip needs, and seeing the whole price before you decide. For most trips under about three hours, a turboprop or light jet does the job at a fraction of the cost of a larger jet, and that is where we start every quote.

It also means being honest when charter isn’t the cheapest way to go. If a scheduled flight would serve you better, or an empty leg could save you a large share of the price, we’ll say so.

How a request becomes a flight

  1. You send the trip. Route, dates, passengers and anything unusual, from pets to skis.
  2. We ask operators. We look for suitable aircraft near your route, and check each operator’s certificate and any third-party safety audits it holds.
  3. You compare options. Each option names the aircraft and operator and shows an all-in price, with possible extras flagged.
  4. You book. You sign a charter agreement that names the operating carrier, pay, and receive your trip details.
  5. You fly. Arrive at the private terminal 15 to 30 minutes before departure. The same advisor looks after the trip until you land.

Standards we hold operators to

Every flight we arrange is operated under FAA Part 135 or the foreign equivalent. Part 135 sets rules for aircraft maintenance, crew training and pilot duty and rest. Many operators also hold voluntary audits from ARGUS, Wyvern or IS-BAO; we tell you which ones the quoted operator holds before you book.

What you can expect from us

  • All-in quotes that include the 7.5% federal excise tax, segment fees and the costs we know about.
  • The operator’s name before you book, and a charter agreement in writing.
  • Aircraft from turboprops to ultra long range jets, one-way, round trip or multi-city, in the US and worldwide.
  • Free quotes: no membership, no deposit, nothing to sign up for.
  • Dogs and cats on board with many operators, once the operator signs off.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell memberships, we don’t list made-up “live” prices, and we don’t sell your details. When you ask for a quote, your information is used to answer that request and arrange your flight, as set out in our privacy policy.
